4 DEAD, HUNDREDS INJURED IN CLASHES OVER MOSQUE DEMOLITION
Violence erupted in northern India as officials demolished a mosque they claim was constructed illegally.
Protesters set fire to vehicles and launched firebombs at police guarding the site, with police firing tear gas canisters at the angry crowd.
A curfew and “shoot on sight” orders have been imposed to try and regain control of the situation.
